An event designed to bring the art of festive culinary creations into the home is set to take place online at 8pm on Monday, November 30th as Waterford-based Evoke Kitchens, Siemens studioLine and Chef John Whelan have come together to ensure an evening of festive foodie fun at

Evoke Ambassador Chef John Whelan of The Devil’s Menu in Graiguenamanagh will demonstrate how to re-create some of his festive dishes. With local produce, wildflowers and foraging John will bring you on a journey of flavour, colour, aromas and cuisines from around the world and share his experience and kitchen tips.

John cooked in Quaglino’s in London where he worked under Head Chef John Torode, co-presenter of MasterChef UK. He has cooked for celebrities, royalty and foreign dignitaries including the Queen Mother and Princess Diana at some of London’s most iconic buildings and restaurants. Working at Michelin standards in private dining rooms, merchant and Swiss Banks has allowed John to develop a unique style and flair.

For this event, John will be creating two starters including a sweet potato veloute with parmesan crisps and a goats cheese, honey & black pepper cream tarts with red wine poached strawberry. For mains, a brined turkey crown, stuffed turkey leg and a sage & onion bread stuffing served with pickled carrots, roasted onions and steamed olive oil roasted potatoes. For dessert chocolate olive oil cakes with raspberry sauce chocolate ganache and creme fresh.
