Cahernane House Hotel is hosting a special History and Hospitality package this coming April for two nights only.
The package, priced from €265 per person sharing per night, includes a 2 night / 3 day experience from 3rd – 5th April.
This historical package will appeal to the culturally curious and includes breakfast and two evening meals. Guests will check in on Friday 3rd April and enjoy an historical tour of Cahernane House, followed by a two course meal in the newly refurbished Cellar Bar.
The next day a local history expert will take guests on an historical walking tour. The walk will include commentary and information on some of the key historical sights nearby including Muckross Abbey, Muckross House and Killegly Chapel, the final resting place of the Herbert family. The three hour walk also takes in some of the scenery which forms part of Killarney National Park.
Guests on the historical package will also enjoy lunch in the Garden Restaurant on the grounds of the Muckross Estate before they are given a guided tour of the 15th Century Muckross Abbey and Muckross House. Later that evening, upon returning to Cahernane House, guests will relax and unwind over a three course dinner in the 2 AA Rosette Herbert Restaurant.
Emer Corridan, General Manager of Cahernane House Hotel, said: “We are proud of our tradition and history and want to be faithful to the heritage of this wonderful property, that is why through our owners PREM Group we have sympathetically restored the house to its former glory. Our historical package allows us to share the great Cahernane House story. Essentially, we are the custodians of its history and the champions of its future.”
