Glovers Alley, the fine dining restaurant headed up by multi-award winning chef Andy McFadden, is celebrating its first Christmas with a special four course Festive Menu that showcases the team's style of luxury, seasonal dishes using the finest ingredients.
Andy McFadden has created a Festive Menu where guests can look forward to dishes including a starter of Jerusalem artichoke, hazelnut, parsley & truffle, followed by mains such as Sika deer, beetroot, chervil root & parsley root; and cod, brassicas, hollandaise & watercress. To finish, there is a dessert dish of plum vacherin, cinnamon, almond & vanilla.
The menu is available for lunch or dinner and costs €80 per person, which also includes canapés, petit fours and tea or coffee. A vegetarian option is also available. Groups of between eight and forty people can be accommodated.
Andy McFadden said: “The Festive Menu is a menu option we are offering our guests that will really showcase the best seasonal ingredients that are available to us. It’s almost like a shortened tasting menu which is great as you get to try many different tastes and textures.”
For a more decadent experience, diners can opt to have their party hosted in one of the restaurant’s private or semi-private dining areas.
For people who are curious about cooking as well as eating, Glovers Alley is offering a special Kitchen Experience where participants join Andy and his team in the restaurant kitchen, where they don an apron and learn techniques, with opportunities for tastings, followed by a four course lunch with champagne and wine pairings, and a goodie bag to take home.
The Kitchen Experience happens on the first Friday of every month, is limited to four people per session and costs €145 per person, with the option to bring a guest for the lunch part for €95.
