The Old Orchard Pub, owned by publican Charlie Chawke, recorded profits of over €1.1m last year.
Newly filed accounts for Orchard Inn Ltd show that recorded earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (ebitda) amounted to €1.12m last year. The earnings represent a slight increase on the previous year, which stood at €1.096m.
The pub in Rathfarnham, Co. Dublin, was famously bought by Chawke for €22m in 2005 – a record purchase figure which is yet to be broken. It has recently undergone some renovations, including replacing the off licence with a wine and tapas bar.
The Chawke pub group comprises of some of the best known pubs in Ireland, including Searsons on Baggot St and The Oval on Middle Abbey St, Dublin. In all, the group recorded revenues of around €30m last year.
