The September edition of the Dublin City Brewing Tasting Club will see Dublin’s newest brewery collaborate with nearby Pitt Bros for an evening of beer and BBQ.

Launched in February of this year, the tasting club takes place on the last Thursday of every month. For each edition, head brewer Fergal Murray hosts a tasting of three of their beers and a special guest food or drink producer joins him.

Up until recently, they were all hosted on Zoom, however the most recent one with Koh Restaurant was in-person and the September edition will continue on that road.

Head brewer Fergal Murray added: “There are few better pairings out there than great beers and barbecue. I am truly humbled to see that the fantastic team in Pitt Bros have prepared a whole menu of gorgeous meats made with our beers. With our choice of malts and hops, there are so many flavours for a chef to play around with – from the bitter, to the sweet and the sour. I am particularly looking forward to the Slow Smoked FX Buckley Beef Rib cooked with our DCB Stout Glaze. Heaven on a plate!”

This month’s event takes place on Thursday 30th September at Pitt Bros on George’s Street in Dublin. The cost is €60 for a table or two and includes a BBQ platter and 3x 250ml beer serves.
