This month’s Dublin City Brewing Tasting Club sees Dublin’s newest brewery collaborate with Niall Sabongi’s Seafood Cafe seafood dishes paired with beers.

Initially hosted on Zoom during lockdown, the Tasting Clubs work with local foodies such as Kevin Sheridan from Sheridan’s Cheese, Lily Ramirez Foran from Picado Mexican and Kwanghi Chan from Bowls by Kwanghi.

Each food producer creates a pairing to go with one of the beers crafted by Fergal Murray, whose previous role was master brewer and global Brand Ambassador for Guinness.

With the recent easing of restrictions, Dublin City Brewing has been able to get back to in-person events and has worked with Koh Restaurant in August and then Pitt Bros in September.

This month’s collaboration is with The Seafood Cafe by Niall Sabongi and guests can look forward to fresh Irish fish along with four different Dublin City Brewing beers.

Head brewer Fergal Murray added: “After already dabbling in so many cuisines and food styles, I’m very excited at the prospect of sampling our family of beers with some of Niall’s award winning fish dishes. He is a true local food hero and it’s a real honour for us to be engaging with him on this very special edition of Dublin City Brewing Tasting Club. Oysters and Stout are a particular favourite of mine, easily the finest expression of Ireland’s food and drink combos you’ll ever encounter. I can’t wait to pull a glass of our Irish stout straight from the keg on the night.”
