A man in Corbin, Kentucky who was arrested on charges of shoplifting and public intoxication managed to sneak his mobile phone into his holding cell and order pizza from a nearby Domino’s.
Michael Harp was arrested on Tuesday July 19th and dropped into a holding cell at the police station to sober up. It was there that he allegedly realised he still had his mobile phone on him, and proceeded to order five pizzas under the name Officer Wilson, the arresting officer.
When the pizzas arrived the officers quickly realised Harp still had posession of his phone and promptly took it off him. To make matters worse, three additional charges were filed against Harp – theft of identity, theft by deception, and impersonating a police officer.
Harp, for his part, is claiming innocence on the prank and told local station WKYT: “I’m wrongfully accused on this here. There was about 10 people [in the cell] who probably used the phone, so it’s hard to say.”
“I’m not the guilty one on this,” he continued.
The case will likely now go to court, where a date is yet to be set. There has also been no word on what pizzas were ordered, and what happened to them after they arrived to the station.
