Dough Bros to Open Dublin Pop-Up this May

Galway pizza makers The Dough Bros is to open a Dublin pop-up this May, in collaboration with beer brand Birra Moretti.

Pizzeria Birra Moretti will open its doors on Camden Street from 22nd – 28th May, where The Dough Bros will showcase their modern take on Italian pizza in Dublin for the first time.

To celebrate the partnership, Birra Moretti and The Dough Bros have created The Baffo pizza, which has been specially created to honour the man that appears on the Birra Moretti label.

Baffo, the man on the bottle, famously requested another glass of Birra Moretti in exchange for his image. The pizza recipe has been designed to complement the tasting notes of Birra Moretti. The Baffo pizza is topped with crushed san mariano tomato, parmigiana reggiano and double guanciale.

Birra Moretti Brand Manager, Deirdre O’Shea, said: “Birra Moretti is all about celebrating everyday Italian life. Good food and beer in great company is integral Italian culture and this is translated across the world through our beer. The Dough Bros reflect all of these values along with a passion for quality ingredients and a lot of laughs along the way. We are really looking forward to showcasing all that is great about Italian culture through this partnership.”

Speaking about the collaboration, Eugene Greaney from Dough Bros said: “Naples is where we learned our trade, Ireland is where we perfected it, so it made perfect sense for us to add an Italian beer that shares so many of the same values that we do.”
