Dublin’s Café en Seine, part of the Mercantile Group, has partnered with Boutique Wines for an interactive wine tasting and pairing with French vineyard Domaine Des Anges Ventoux on Wednesday, 23rd October.
Domaine Des Anges is small hillside estate located above the village of Mormoiron in southern France. Owned by Irishman Gabriel McGuinness, this tiny vineyard shares its name with the chapel of Notre Dame des Anges, who watches over it from the summit of a hill where Romans and Saracens once stood guard. With 18 hectares of vines, it is generally considered to be the best domaine in the Ventoux appellation.
Domaine Des Anges is highly accredited by Decanted Magazine and wine critic Robert Parker, whose work has been given the highest Presidential Honours by two French presidents and an Italian President.
Brought to Café en Seine by Boutique Wines, Gabriel McGuinness from Domaine Des Anges Ventoux and British author, historian and writer for Decanter, The Guardian and The Times, Giles MacDonough will be on hand on the night to guide guests through a tasting of seven wines, complemented with some light bites created by Café en Seine’s executive chef Stephen Gibson.
Tickets are limited for this event and just €30pp, available now via Eventbrite.
