The Panel of Chefs of Ireland has released details of the upcoming Chef Ireland competition, due to take place at the Hospitality Expo in the RDS Dublin this February 4th – 5th.
The annual Chef Ireland competition aims to find the National Senior and Junior Chef of The Year and is a key feature at Hospitality Expo.
Chef Ireland will include a series of competitions designed to challenge the participants, who will complete in a number of pre-set tasks in food preparation and presentation in front of a live audience.
The junior and senior competitor with the highest combined mark in the hot kitchen and cold display salon will be awarded the Chef Ireland Junior/Senior Chef of The Year 2014. Challenges will include working with Irish pork and lamb, macaroons and wedding cakes.
Apart from Chef Ireland and an extensive line up of speakers, there are over 120 exhibitors – all offering you the ideas and the information you need to ‘Plan for Profit in 2014’. As well, Hospitality Expo will include a Food Village where a host of Irish Indigenous food and ingredient producers together with a range of complementary products and wines will be on hand to help restaurateurs develop their product offering.
Hospitality Expo is the largest RDS exhibition catering to the entire Hospitality Sector in 2014 and will take place this February 4th – 5th.
