Cork Airport’s food and drink area, formerly called The Loop, has been officially rebranded as Taste Cork.

The rebrand was launched at an event in the airport on December 6th. Teaming up with Taste Cork, the initiative aims to showcase the best of Cork’s locally produced food and beverage to passengers travelling through the airport.

Eamon O’Donovan, Retail Operations Manager at ARI, said: “We are delighted to welcome the fantastic initiative that is Taste Cork to Cork Airport. The gastro offerings of Cork have always been a major draw for European and American visitors. Likewise, it enables travellers to bring a unique piece of home with them to share on the next step of their journeys. Our partnership with Taste Cork propels this even more.

“The branding itself is quite stunning and greatly adds to the shopping experience in The Loop,” he added.

Over the last year, Cork Airport has embarked on a plan to overhaul and re-develop its food and beverage facilities. Across arrivals and departures, the project endeavoured to position fresh Irish and Cork produce to the fore.

Taste Cork was launched in 2016, with a five year food and drink strategy for Cork. It is the largest collaboration of its kind and is supported by Cork County Council, Cork City Council and the Local Enterprises Office in Cork.
