For the second year running, the Boyne Valley Food Network held their Producer Showcase at the Monasterboice Inn in Co. Louth, on Tuesday 13th November.

20 local food and drinks producers spent the morning showcasing their products to chefs, buyers and business owners. Sourcing local food from local producers, and building the local food economy, was a key objective of this showcase. It helped to promote the importance and value of using Boyne Valley food and drink for local and national markets.

The Producer Showcase demonstrated the range and variety of products available in the region. Companies attending included Rock Farm, The Whole Hoggs, Finnegan’s Farm, Drummond House Garlic, Lily’s Tea and The Studio Roasters. Beer, cider and whiskey from the region were showcased as well.

Along with talks and tastings, visitors had the opportunity to listen to guest speakers, Michelin star Chef Rob Krawczyk from Restaurant Chestnut in Cork (formerly of Tankardstown House in Slane) and Aidan O’Byrne, The Food Accountant from OBK Accountants.

The Boyne Valley Food Network is an initiative led by the Local Enterprise Offices in Co. Louth and Co. Meath. Its objective is to facilitate collaboration, networking and business among its community.
