Three of Ireland's most high profile chefs joined Tourism Ireland in New York, to cook a St. Patrick’s Day feast and to raise the profile of Ireland's culinary scene.
Darina Allen of Ballymaloe Cooking School, Noel McMeel from Lough Erne Resort, and celebrity chef Clodagh McKenna delivered an Irish culinary masterclass to guests includingepicurean and lifestyle journalists, as well as travel trade contacts. The event was called Cooking By The Book, and took place in Tribeca.
Alison Metcalfe, Tourism Ireland’s Head of North America and Australia, said: “We were delighted to be joined by three such eminent ambassadors for Irish food – showcasing all that is great about our food scene and helping to spread the word in New York about the culinary experience our American visitors can expect on a vacation in Ireland.
