Centre Parcs, which is currently building a large holiday village in Co. Longford, has awarded contracts worth a combined €5.2m to four Irish food companies.
Keelings has been appointed as the fresh produce and dairy supplier to the resort, while Heaney Meats will provide meat products. Lynas Foodservice and Henderson Foodservice have also been contracted for supplies.
"We are delighted to work with these companies to ensure the food and beverage offering at our forest resort in Ireland is a very high standard," said Martin Dalby, CEO of Center Parcs.
The €233m Centre Parcs Longford Forest in Ballymahon is expected to open in 2019, and will be able to accommodate 2,500 guests per day when fully operational. Around 750 jobs have been created during the construction phase.
