Galway’s Cava Bodega is celebrating World Tapas Day this coming 20th June, with a special tapas offer for diners.
World Tapas Day, run by Spain’s tourism agency Turespaña, is a worldwide celebration of tapas and takes place annually on the third Thursday of June.
To mark this day, Cava, located on Middle St in Galway, is offering diners a sample of three of their most popular tapas – croquettes, patatas bravas and pork belly – for €10.
Culinary Director JP McMahon said: “When we opened Cava 11 years ago, tapas was a relatively new phenomenon in Ireland. We wanted to bring that style of sharing and communal eating to Galway. Though it took our Irish customers a while to fall in love with small plates of food, they soon embraced the concept of sharing food amongst friends.”
