Powerscourt Hotel Resort & Spa is celebrating Afternoon Tea week this coming 12th – 18th August, offering guests five star luxury while indulging in sweet and savoury bites.
To begin, guests can enjoy a selection of freshly made sandwiches such as l’eclair with goats cheese mousse, beetroot and balsamic glaze; steamed Irish chicken with curried mayo, mango and toasted almonds; and Ballycotton oak smoked salmon served with Powerscourt soda bread and sour cream & dill caviar.
To finish off with something sweet, diners can enjoy in a selection of miniature desserts or traditional warm scones accompanied with kilmacanogue strawberry jam, fresh chantilly and a lemon curd selection.
To accompany the food, a wide selection of teas is available, including traditional options and more exotic teas such as lemongrass & elderflower, Darjeeling tea from India, and carmel snap tea from China.
The Powerscourt Hotel afternoon tea is available from €35 midweek per person, and €45 on the weekends. Guests can add a glass of bubbles for €10 per person.
