CATEX 2021 has been rescheduled for the new dates of 23rd – 25th March 2021, in response to the ongoing issues with running events in a ‘living with COVID’ era.
Irish Foodservice Suppliers Alliance chairperson, Patrick Clement, wrote to all CATEX exhibitors at the start of October to confirm the announcement.
“Following ongoing consultation by the board of IFSA with exhibitors and our partners and faced with the backdrop of uncertainly which COVID brings to us all, we have taken the decision to reschedule CATEX 2021 to 23-25 March 2021,” said Patrick Clement.
The date was chosen in order to try and stay ahead of the busy spring/summer hospitality season, while also giving the organisers additional time to best assess how to manage the show with COVID 19 in mind.
Event partners Eventhaur Ltd has been in communication with the Department of Enterprise and Employment and the Department of Health to assist in drafting a set of protocols for the safe return of trade shows and exhibitions. The government has in turn included a provision for the return of such shows once a county is in Level 1 or 2 of the COVID restrictions.
