A chipper in Britain is serving up the ultimate Valentine's Day bouquet for hungry diners - fish & chips, made with a dozen handcrafted potato 'roses' interspersed with leaf-shaped fish goujons, all hand tied and presented in traditional newspaper wrapping.
This is the second year in a row that Cheltenham-based fish & chips shop Simpsons is offering the rare treat, which will only be available on February 14th.
Last year, the dish proved so popular that the chipper received orders from all over the country and as far away as Scotland. One fish & chip lover even used the culinary creation as their wedding bouquet.
Bonny Ritchie, founder of Simpsons, said: “Everyone knows that the real way to a person’s heart is through their stomach, so we’ve put a little twist on the traditional bouquet of a dozen red roses this year by making them entirely edible.”
