The Bridge House Hotel in Tullamore has announced the appointment of Mario Puchowski as the hotel’s new General Manager.
Mario joins the Bridge House Hotel as it celebrates its 50th birthday this year. The hotel has recently completed a bedroom refurbishment and is preparing to move ahead with a second phase of renovations.
A native of Poland, Mario originally moved to Ireland in 2000 to work as Resort Duty Manager in Adare Manor. He has since built up a wealth of experience in four and five star properties in Ireland and abroad.
Mario held a variety of positions during his time at Adare Manor during the 12 years he worked there, including Carriage House Director/Director of Operations, Revenue Manager and Clubhouse Food & Beverage Manager. During this time, he also worked as Assistant Restaurant Manager in five-star Aghadoe Heights Hotel & Spa.
After planning, opening and managing his own café in Newcastle West called Café Heaven, Mario sold his business in 2012, and away to Malta to manage Chophouse.
On his return to Ireland, Mario worked in multiple properties including Ballykisteen Hotel & Golf Resort, Glendalough Hotel, and Charleville Park Hotel & Leisure Club.
Most recently Mario has been Group Operations Manager at Sό Hotels, overseeing the financial and operational management of six four star properties.
With a Higher Certificate in Business, Accounts and Finance Management (ACCS) and a Higher Certificate in Hotel Management, both from Cork Institute of Technology, Mario has also trained at the AA Rosette Academy UK & Ireland and has completed a variety of other courses and workshops in sales strategies, hotel revenue and yielding management, business planning and development and sales and marketing.
