Fast food chain Boojum, which specialises in Tex-Mex style burritos, has announced plans to open four new stores across Ireland, creating up to 120 new jobs as a result.
Two of the new branches are confirmed for Belfast - one at Great Victoria St, and another an an as yet unknown location. In the republic, one branch will be based on Dublin's Abbey St and it is unclear whether the fourth unit will be in Dublin or Galway.
As well as continuing its site expansion, Boojum is planning on working with Deliveroo to facilitate online orders as well as branching out into corporate catering. "To handle all that, we have to put in additional equipment, so a second line set up," explained co-owned David Maxwell when speaking to the Belfast Telegraph.
The Boojum chain was taken over by Brothers David and Andrew Maxwell, in collaboration with Renatus Capital, in July 2015. The company was founded in 2007 by John and Karen Blisard and currently has outlets in Dublin, Belfast and Galway.
