As part of its ongoing commitment to safety, Aramark Workplace Solutions (AWS) has achieved certification for the new ISO 45001 and retained certification for ISO 9001 and 14001.
Upon meeting the requirements and standards set for ISO certification, Aramark was awarded ISO 45001, which is the world’s international standard for occupational health and safety, issued to protect employees and visitors, reduce workplace risks, and create better, safer working conditions.
In addition to this, Aramark also retained ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. These three standards are integral to the work Aramark teams carry out.
Darren Daly, Senior HSQE Specialist, Aramark, commented: “We are delighted to have retained certification for ISO 9001 and 14001 and we are especially proud that we have achieved certification for the new ISO 45001. Our commitment to safety, quality and environmental processes has never been more important than during the Covid-19 pandemic and it is great to see the hard work and dedication of all our teams. This fantastic achievement recognises Aramark’s proactive work and the commitment by all of our staff to consistently deliver the highest safety standards.”
Shane Flynn, Managing Director for Aramark Ireland, said: “This is a fantastic achievement and something we are really proud of here in Aramark. These audits allow us to showcase our strengths and our culture within the business. Our global and domestic executive leadership teams are dedicated to the high standards of our operations, and they play an active part in driving these throughout the business.
“This award is also a tangible testament to the incredible work carried out every day by our frontline teams who are responsible for executing these exemplary standards every day,” continued Shane.
