Entries are now being accepted for this year’s Irish Whiskey Awards, which will take place at the Pearse Lyon’s Distillery, Dublin, on November 10th 2022.
The awards, which are now in their ninth year, spans over 20 categories. The whiskey with the highest overall score will be named Irish Whiskey of the Year.

Judging of the whiskey categories will take place over the Summer to a select number of members (available on a first come, first serve basis) in the Celtic Whiskey Club (Irish and Overseas members), Irish Whiskey Society — Dublin & Dingle, Cork Whiskey Society, Ennis Whiskey Society, Kilkenny Whiskey Guild, Waterford Whiskey Society and Belfast Whiskey Club.
This year the White Spirits & Other Irish Liqueurs categories will be blind tasted and judged by a panel of 6-8 bartenders and mixologists.
The event has been created by Celtic Whiskey Shop who are also behind Whiskey Live Dublin and Gin Experience Dublin. Owner Ally Alpine said: “The Irish Whiskey Awards recognises both the emerging and established producers in the industry and we’re delighted that it has become such an important date in the Irish events calendar.”
Tickets to the awards will be available in September, from the Celtic Whiskey Shop on Dawson Street, Dublin 2. All proceeds will go to the event’s charity partner Mary’s Meals to help feed children in impoverished areas of the world. Strictly over 18s event – I.D. is required.
