Aldi has joined the growing hard seltzer trend in Ireland with the launch of its own line of canned seltzers.

Nordic Wolf, inspired by the Nordic Wilderness and produced in collaboration with The Swedish Cider Company, retails at €1.99 per 330ml can and comes in at 4% ABV.  The cans are available nationwide as of Thursday 30th July.

There are four flavours in the range – lemon, strawberry & lime, cranberry & cherry, and raspberry & blackcurrant.

In the US, hard seltzers have become the fastest-growing alcohol segment in just twelve months with volume sales outgrowing those of vodka. The drink is made using a mixture of sparkling water, a gluten free alcohol base, and a hint of natural fruit flavourings. With just 97 calories in each can, Nordic Wolf offers a lower-calorie alternative to beer and alcopops.
