Chef Eddie Attwell and award-winning garden designer Leonie Cornelius have come together to create an evening of wild food and tastes at Eccles Hotel & Spa.

A collaborative 9 course menu specially designed by chef Eddie Atwell and writer, designer and broadcaster Leonie Cornelius will see guests dive into the wild world of high end ingredients from the native Irish landscape, farms and gardens.

The evening will feature stories and descriptions of how the recipes were created. Eddie and Leonie will guide their guests through each course, sharing their personal stories, memories, and associations as they go.

The tasting menu that will be served overlooking Glengarriff bay is designed all around wild and high quality local and Irish ingredients and aims to bring the taste of the wild to guests on the night.

Following the evening meal guests can retire up to their rooms and spend a night at Eccles Hotel. The next morning they can enjoy breakfast and walk around Glengarriff Bay.

Chef Eddie Attwell was recognised as West Cork’s Local food Hero in 2019 and the hotel’s breakfast was a national winner at Georgina Campbell’s National Breakfast Awards 2020. Prior to joining the Eccles team, among other career highlights, Eddie spent time in the 2 star Michelin restaurant L’Enclume in Cumbria and has appeared twice on BBC’s Great British Menu.

Leonie Cornelius is an award-winning garden designer interior architect and bestselling author who specialises in customised garden and interior designs for companies and brands as well as private clients.
