A golf buggy with a luxury twist has been rolled out at the Abbey House Hotel and Gardens, Cumbria, adding an extra sparkle to wedding days at the hotel.
The £20,000 machine was made to order in the UK before being delivered to the Abbey House Hotel. It will be rolled out for wedding picture shoots and if happy couples wish to take a tour of the grounds ahead of their big day.
The buggy, which comes complete with monogrammed luxury upholstery and built-in champagne bucket, will also be made available for guests who have mobility issues and wish to experience the Abbey House’s gardens.
Hotel general manager, John Horton, said: “We are always looking for ways in which we can extend what the hotel offers to its guests. The new buggy has created a real buzz amongst the team and its versatility means it can be used for a number of purposes.”
A specialist instructor was commissioned to deliver training to all staff in how to safely operate and drive the buggy.
Sitting on 14 acres of land, the Abbey House Hotel and Gardens is one of Cumbria’s premier hotels and recently achieved four star silver standard accreditation.
