Dublin-based fast food chain 4Friends, which owns and operates diner and takeaway 4Friends Burger, and recently launched sister outlet, 4F Pizzeria, has announced new signature menus and dining offers to encourage Dubliners to safely get back together this summer.
4Friends opened in March 2021 however its roots go back a year previous. The friends all moved to Ireland separately from different suburbs of their native São Paulo five years ago, met whilst working for another Dublin restaurant – Francisco as a chef, and Pedro and Lilas as delivery drivers.
Originally planning to build a deli business centred around catering to the international guests at Leevin Hostel, their plans were scuppered soon after signing the lease following the onset of COVID 19. They then launched 4Friends Burger in March 2021, and more recently 4FPizzeria.
International Friendship Day takes place this year on Friday 30th July and 4F Pizzeria is adding Brazilian-inspired samba style pies to its menu. Anyone purchasing a 12-inch pizza that day, either to enjoy on their outdoor terrace on North Great George’s Street or for takeaway, will be able to order a second pizza to share with friends absolutely free.
And, just a couple of weeks later on Thursday 12th August, sister venue 4Friends Burger will be marking National Burger Day by launching a one-off menu for that day only. The list of options includes the Oswald Burger, 4F Squad Burger and Fancy Crew Burger. All three feature beef patties made using 4Friends’ blend of brisket and chuck cuts, which they source from F.X. Buckley.
Customers purchasing any of these three burgers on National Burger Day for dine in or takeaway, either on its own or as part of a meal deal with a side of shoestring sweet potato fries, will also be able to avail of a complimentary milkshake (options include chocolate, strawberry, Nutella, caramel, and cookies & cream).
Co-Owner, Pedro Farbelow, said: “We couldn’t be more proud of the success 4Friends Burger has achieved over our first year of operation. We’ve been blown away by the feedback from our customers and just recently a leading website named us as one of Dublin’s Top 5 Burgers, which caught us completely by surprise. I’m sure the new creations we’ve added to the menu for National Burger Day will get the same stamp of approval.”
