Tourism Ireland has kicked off its German market promotional drive for 2018, with a TV campaign which will be seen by millions of potential holidaymakers for Ireland.
The campaign will run until mid February on German national and satellite television channels like RTL, VOX, RTL Nitro, Sat.1, Kabel 1 and ARD. In total, it is estiamted the ads will reach 17.2m viewers.
As well as the TV ads, a separate online video campaign will reach almost 4m people via travel and news websites. The videos will highlight the variety of things to see and do in Ireland.
Germany is the third largest market for tourism to the island of Ireland and 2017 was another record year from Germany, with around 660,000 German visitors. In 2018, Tourism Ireland aims to grow German visitor numbers by 8%.
“2017 was the seventh consecutive year of growth for German visitor numbers to the island of Ireland, when we welcomed around 660,000 German visitors,” said Zoë Redmond, Tourism Ireland’s Manager Central Europe. “Our TV campaign kickstarts another programme of activity in Germany for 2018.”
