A popular Canadian daytime TV show, The Marilyn Denis Show, which has around 2.2m viewers per episode, is filming in Ireland this week.
Tourism Ireland in Toronto, in conjunction with Fáilte Ireland, invited host Marilyn Denis and her production team to explore Ireland for the TV show, which airs on CTV and CTV Two.
Marilyn and her team flew to Ireland on the new Air Canada flight from Toronto to Shannon. She is taking in counties Clare, Limerick and Kerry, as well as Cork, where she’s joined by celebrity chef Clodagh McKenna.
They are filming at places like Bunratty Castle & Folk Park, Moll’s Gap, Blarney Castle, Ballyvolane House and The English Market. Their itinerary includes foraging, fishing and, of course, cooking. The resulting programme will air in March 2019, in advance of St. Patrick’s Day.
“We are delighted that The Marilyn Denis Show is filming in Ireland this week – it’s the kind of publicity that money simply could not buy and a superb way to highlight the South and West of Ireland to 2.2m Canadians,” said Dana Welch, Tourism Ireland’s Manager Canada.
