World Gourmand Award-winning food writers Máirín Uí Chomáin and Michael O’Meara are set to launch Oyster Gastronomy, their new book focusing on the versatility of oysters, at the Clarinbridge Oyster Festival on Sunday, 8th October.

The book will be launched with Richard Donnelly, Aquaculture Business Development Manager, at Bord Iascaigh Mhara.

Richard Corrigan, chef patron of Bentley’s and Virginia Lodge, describes Oyster Gastronomy as “A worthy tribute to this fabulous delicacy,” as well as doing “A wonderful job of demystifying the oyster as well as highlighting its incredible versatility”.

Oyster Gastronomy contains over 100 recipes featuring, accompanied by photography by Walter Pfeiffer and Michael O’Meara, as well as a foreword from Richard Donnelly.
