The former Soder + Ko bar at 64-65 South Great George’s St in Dublin 2 has reopened as NoLIta, a classic Italian styled eatery with a New York bar feel.

Inspired by the New York neighbourhood named for its location North of Little Italy (NoLIta), the new restaurant and bar has an emphasis on decadence. NoLIta will be open seven days a week for lunch and dinner and on into the night.

The interior has been totally refurbished, and features enhanced windows fronting the Merchant façade that pour light into the high-ceiling front room and along the pewter topped cocktail bar.

The colours and seating are complimented with contemporary NY art on the walls. The double height of the adjacent main bar continues the urban warehouse style with reclaimed timber adding texture and warmth to the walls and bar fronts.

An open staircase leads to the first floor bar and terrace where the building’s original stonework contrasts with modern art, seating and planting. On the same level is also a whiskey bar.

At the heart of the open kitchen in the main bar is a pizza oven, with offerings including margherita €12 , capriciossa €15 and salsiccia €16. Pasta dishes are priced from €15.

To add to the full bar offering of beers, spirits and wines, there’s a menu of prosecco cocktails (€9) and house cocktails (€11).
